So, grab a mini apron and dive into our kids cooking recipes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kidsitter.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/cook-.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-346\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kidsitter.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/cook-.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"940\" height=\"629\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>1) Chocolate Cake<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>A super speedy chocolate cake, which tastes great served hot or cold&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serves: 6<\/li>\n<li>Prep: 5 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Cook: 5 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Freezable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>175g sugar<\/li>\n<li>110ml boiling water<\/li>\n<li>25g cocoa powder<\/li>\n<li>55ml vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>1 egg<\/li>\n<li>55ml milk<\/li>\n<li>175g self-raising flour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Method<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Put the cocoa into a small bowl or cup and pour on the boiling water, mix well<\/li>\n<li>Microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds and then stir well again<\/li>\n<li>Put the flour and sugar into a bowl, add the cocoa mixture, milk, oil and egg &#8211; mix well<\/li>\n<li>Pour the batter into a greased 8&#8243; inch wide microwave-proof dish and microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Cooking times may vary depending on how powerful your microwave is, if it doesn&#8217;t look cooked, microwave for a further minute<\/li>\n<li>Let it cool in the dish, then top with fresh raspberries and a dollop of cream<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kidsitter.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/cooking.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-348\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kidsitter.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/cooking.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"935\" height=\"625\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>2) Banana Strawberry Crunch<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>A lovely and easy recipe &#8211; a great one for the kids and makes a delicious dessert&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serves: 4<\/li>\n<li>Prep: 10 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You will need: <\/strong>4x ramekins &#8211; if you don&#8217;t have ramekins you can make this in one large dish<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>4 digestive biscuits, crushed<\/li>\n<li>6 strawberries, sliced<\/li>\n<li>2 bananas (or 3 bananas depending on the size), sliced<\/li>\n<li>250g mascarpone cheese<\/li>\n<li>300ml cr\u00e8me fra\u00eeche<\/li>\n<li>chocolate (melted &#8211; to decorate)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Method<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Crush the biscuits and squash them into your ramekins<\/li>\n<li>Cover the biscuits with a layer of strawberries, then layer with the sliced bananas<\/li>\n<li>Mix the mascarpone and cr\u00e8me fra\u00eeche together and cover the bananas<\/li>\n<li>Drizzle some melted chocolate over the top and then place in a fridge for an hour or until ready to serve<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong><em>Tip: You can use chocolate sauce on top instead of melted chocolate if you prefer<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kidsitter.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/cooker.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-347\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kidsitter.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/cooker.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"935\" height=\"625\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>3) Banana Muffins<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>Great for using up ripe bananas&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serves: 8+<\/li>\n<li>Prep: 15 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Cook: 20 minutes<\/li>\n<li>200\u2103 \/ Gas mark 6<\/li>\n<li>Freezable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>3 eggs<\/li>\n<li>150g self-raising flour<\/li>\n<li>150g butter (or margarine)<\/li>\n<li>150g soft brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 bananas (ripe)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kidsitter.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/mm.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kidsitter.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/mm.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"916\" height=\"599\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Method<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat oven 200&#8217;C\/Gas mark 6 and line a bun tin with muffin cases<\/li>\n<li>Put all the ingredients into the food processor or hand whisk &#8211; start with butter and sugar first, then add the rest gradually until all the ingredients are in and smooth and feel light and airy<\/li>\n<li>Put a generous portion of mixture into each muffin case<\/li>\n<li>Pop into oven for between 12-20 mins depending on your oven<\/li>\n<li>Allow to cool before serving<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong><em>Tips:<\/em><\/strong><em> Add a sprinkle of brown sugar on top before baking if you&#8217;d like a crunchy topping.<\/em><\/h4>\n<p><strong>So there you have it, 3 Easy Recipes to Cook with your Children.
