About me
I am reliable, trustworthy and always ensure I am punctual. I have a genuine love for children and interacting with children comes quite naturally to me. I am confident in working with children from babies to even teenagers and have extensive experience in this through my profession and work experiences. I have direct experience in working with EAL and SEN children. I am creative and can think on the spot and i am able to communicate to children at all levels making them feel comfortable and at ease. I am also flexible with parents and their children's needs and able to adapt myself to any changes quite quickly.

Shahina is a warm, friendly and positive person. She is very bubbly and shows great enthusiasm in anything she does. She is able to build a great rapport with children of all ages and her teaching background allows her to bring out the best in every child. Shahina plans exciting activities for children to take part in. Activities include arts and crafts, e.g. painting using sponges and different shaped blocks. Reading and role-playing stories and asking questions to keep them engaged. Playing active games , such as, "What's the time Mr.Wolf?" and assisting children with homework tasks.
Shahina has covered a variety of topics that have enabled the children to make progress and enjoy their time with Shahina. For example, she has carried out a variety of arts and crafts activities, ranging from colouring in to making buildings and animals out of papier-mache and cereal boxes. Shahina has also carried out role-play activities with famous fairy tales such as "The Little Red Riding Hood", this has enabled the children to enjoy reading and understand the concept better. Furthermore, she has taken the children out on external activities such as bowling. She has also carried out life skill lessons with the children, an example of this would be when she had baked cupcakes with them. There are no concerns with Shahina. She is a fun, friendly person who understands a child's needs and creates an atmosphere where the children enjoy their time with her.
