When my daughter was born in Aug 2021, Genilda started working for us as a part-time Nanny/Housekeeper/Cook. Just a few months later we retained her on a full-time, live-out basis. Genilda is an extremely reliable and trustworthy person. She was always very punctual. Her prior experience as a nanny/housekeeper meant she required very little guidance from me as to what had to be done and was able to learn the routines of the household very quickly, having the initiative to take care of everything herself. Genilda is a brilliant cook; she prepared meals for the whole family which were very tasty; she was able to follow my recipes and proposed her own ideas too; she was very adaptable as a cook, being willing to adjust seasoning and preparation methods to our family’s taste and preferences. Genilda aided me with my daughter; I was not working at the time and she supported me when I needed any help, and took care of my daughter by herself whenever I needed to be absent from the home for a few hours. I always liked her approach with my daughter, she was very warm and caring; Genilda used to sing to her, constantly spoke to her and read many books, all of which helped develop my daughter’s language skills (she spoke to my daughter in Brazilian Portuguese which is also my mother tongue). She had very good insights when it comes to doing activities and different types of play that help a baby develop. Genilda sometimes aided with my daughter’s meal times; she was very patient and kept a positive atmosphere even at times when my daughter was not very interested in eating. Importantly, I always felt she cared dearly about my daughter and her well-being. I would very gladly recommend Genilda to families in need of a hard-working nanny, housekeeper and/or cook.

I've known Genilda since 2018 when my son was 4 years old. I met her through my neighbour and hired her as a nanny for our son. She would take him to nursery and then his school, she cooked for him and looked after him. She helped us with the transition from nursery to school. She is very engaging, warm and playful. She was always accommodating, flexible, punctual, and responsible. She is loving and super trustworthy. She goes with the flow and is easy going. My son really liked her and we still use her for babysitting now even though my son is 11. I absolutely recommend her if you're looking for a nanny or a babysitter.
