About me
Hi! My name is Olivia - I'm 22 and a fourth year Medical Student at UCL. I've been babysitting and nannying for families for 7 years and always love spending time with children!
Through my medical degree I have taken additional courses, including paediatrics. Every year, we are trained and re-trained again in First Aid, First Response, and Basic and Advanced Life Support for all ages. I have a particular interest in Infant and Paediatric Health so in my first year of my degree I joined a charity group called Save A Baby's Life. As part of this group, we teach Infant First Aid to parents in disadvantaged London communities.
Outside of work, I'm currently President of UCLU's Live Music Society - organising gigs, open mic nights and Live Music Showcases in West End theatres. I love all genres of music - and I play piano and violin myself.
Another big interest of mine is baking. I have my own small business and blog, where I make bespoke themed cakes and other yummy bakes. I love designing new bakes and bringing them to life and I often rope in my 5-year-old goddaughter to help me! I also sketch and paint in my free time, which really helps when it comes to intricate icing.
I've been working separately with children aged 6-17 for many years now, starting with voluntary work when I was 14. I volunteered in two schools - one for children with visual impairments, where I helped in their after school club and another for children with physical disabilities, in particular cerebral palsy, where I helped with primary school lessons. I have always enjoyed working with children and babysitting for me brings further enjoyment as I get to know an entire family!
Qualifications & Experience
References
I would definitely recommend her. I am a working mum with two little children. Olivia is so lovely - she's very sweet and reliable and if she gives you her word that will be it. She's also very flexible, just outstanding. The children adore her because she's so sweet and patient. She found out that my daughter really liked painting so spent time painting wih her. Also, she's training to be a doctor so she relates to human beings. Amazing!
Olivia babysat my three boys over a period of 18 months. She was always very mature, organised and polite, so I had a lot of confidence in her. She would always turn up on time, text me to give me updates and always engaging with the boys. The boys were 4,6 and 8 and she would play with them, read them stories and get them to bed on time. It was a good experience. I have no qualms at all about how good she is or how nice she is - I'd definitely recommend her
