Maya M

As a teacher, Maya shows initiative every day. She has to make decisions regarding children's learning, welfare and behaviour all the time. She also has to do so when interacting with parents. One example could be alternating her methods when teaching children with special needs. She has also had to adapt her classroom when relocated to make it more Reception age friendly. Maya is able to communicate well with children. She works hard at her lessons and is always mindful of their welfare. She has a good sense of humour and patience with her class. I would leave my children in her care, confident that she would look after them, care for them, going further than just meeting their needs.

As well as being a class teacher during most of the day, she leads musical instrument clubs and choir next door to me in a two room department with see through glass windows and we have worked along side each other in a situation where she is shadowing my work as music teacher and supporting. She is strict, fair, fun, good organisational skills and subject knowledge. Enthusiastic and loyal She acts calmly, using initiative.
