About me

I am a trainee primary school teacher and university student with lots of experience working with young children, ranging from 8 months-16 years old, including those with SEN. I have been babysitting numerous families for 6 years and love playing games with the children, creating activities and taking them out and about. As a babysitter I am also happy to clean, cook healthy meals, read stories and put the children to bed and can take children to clubs/activities, or to museums/parks/day trips if needed. I love baking, drawing and painting too! For my last 2 teaching placements (in Year 2 and Reception classes) I was graded Ofsted-level ‘Outstanding’ and I also have worked as a Maths and English tutor so would happily help with homework or tutor children in various subjects. I am currently working as a part-time nanny for 1 year old so have lots of experience with bottles and nappies etc. and have plenty of availability!

I've known Bethany for around 2 years. She was a student in my class last year during her first year placement of her teaching degree. She is hard working, brilliant with the children and is full of great ideas. I completely trusted her with my class and she was the model teacher. I would have no reservations at all she was a pleasure to work with and the children adored her. I would trust her completely with my own children.

Bethany was on placement at my school from January to Easter, for about four months. She as assisting teaching in my class of reception-age children, so 4-5 years old. She is fantastic, it was a pleasure to mentor her - she will be a great teacher one day. She is very competent, a team player and got into the work very quickly. She's very professional as well - she had all her paperwork done, was punctual, and helped out whenever there was still work at the end of the day, I'd definitely recommend her for babysitting work, she has a great rapport with children.
