About me

I studied journalism at University of the Arts of London and have a strong interest in current affairs and fashion, with the aim of working at a magazine at the end of my degree. I am originally from Bristol but I am currently enjoying living in Central London! I pride myself on my high organisation and interpersonal skills, which have got me many jobs in the past. I have been babysitting for five years since the age of 14, this started out for my neighbours and their children and soon massively spread through recommendations within the area. I have been babysitting for families with one to five children, ranging from 6 months to 12 years of age. My role as a babysitter varies from evening sitting, assisting a single parent in the daytime, doing the school run (often for two families at a time) and cooking supper and putting the children to bed. Furthermore, I was a classroom assistant for a reception class adjoined to my school, whilst I was studying for my A-Levels. This was on a casual basis and included helping at playtime, with literacy and numeracy and lunchtime duties.

References for Rachel

Rachel has been a regular babysitter for our family. She has looked after my 3 children in the evening, after school and for full days during school holidays. She has kept 3 children busy during school holidays! Baking, trips to the park, board games etc. She has also had deal with tantrums - when my children were smaller. She manages really well. Racehl is kind, reliable, sensible, mature. Good communicator. Fun
Julia B
Rachel has been a reliable babysitter for my children over the last four years. She has also helped out a children's parties and helped look after children during our regular street parties. Rachel is patient and genuinely enjoyed spending time with children. She is very good at talking to them on their level. She is a good time keeper (has never been late for a babysitting/childcare slot), and is emotionally intelligent. Her mother is a paediatric sister and i think Rachel has learnt a lot about dealing with emergencies in her own family setting.
