Yes you need to go through a quick registration process to use KidSitter. This is mainly so that we have your details and can get in touch with you during the booking. You can register here.
No, KidSitter is free to use. You only pay the hourly rate of £12 when you make a booking
We charge a flat £12 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours for every sitting. There is absolutely no usage, membership, or booking fees to use our service.
It is very simple. Whenever you need a trusted sitter to watch your little ones, make a booking online or call us. We will hand select an available sitter from our network of recommended and qualified sitters close to your location and send you their details. The sitter will then show up at your door per the booking. For more details, please check out our How It Works page.
You can reach us at 020 7118 4550, Monday through Sunday, from 9 AM to 7 PM British Standard Time. If you are looking to get in touch with your babysitter directly, please check your email or text messages for their details after we have confirmed your booking.
If you are not happy with us, we are not happy. That is why we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason, you are unhappy with your KidSitter experience, just let us know and we will issue you a credit for the entire amount of your booking.
We have a 5-point vetting and selection process for babysitters. If a babysitter fails any of these checks, we do not work with them. Read more about our selection process on Our Babysitters page.
KidSitter will send you the contact details of your babysitter once your booking is confirmed and we have assigned someone to you.
We recommend parents to make a booking in order for parent and child/children can meet the sitter beforehand. Parents also have the chance to call the sitter and chat in advance of a booking. However, since the sitters incur real costs, for example travel, we don't request sitters to attend face-to-face interviews without payment.
All our babysitters come highly recommended by people just like you and also go through a rigorous selection process. Also, every babysitter we have is highly rated, or else they would not be part of KidSitter. When you make a booking, we assign a babysitter who is available for your booking and send you a link to their profile page. You can view their details, including reviews and feedback from other parents. We also encourage you to call the babysitter directly and speak to them if you have any concerns. If you don’t like what you see or hear, you can always call us to request a different babysitter.
Yes, babysitters generally arrange for their own transportation at no cost to you. In exceptional circumstances, if they require compensation for their transportation, we will inform you of this before confirming your booking.
We will make every effort to make sure your sitter shows up on time. If your sitter is late for any reason, please do not hesitate to call us immediately. We will make amends on their behalf.
For bookings already in progress, if you are running late, please get in touch with the babysitter as soon as possible and work it out with her. Also let us know as soon as possible so we can charge the prorated amount to you and pay the babysitter for the extra time.
We want to know how the babysitting got on. That is why we strongly encourage you to rate and review your babysitter. After the babysitter completes the job, you will receive an email with a link to review them.
All our babysitters have childcare experience and know how to react in emergency situations. They also have your contact details so you will be called immediately if there is an emergency.
Some of our babysitters, especially those who are childminders are Ofsted registered. However, this is not a requirement to be a babysitter. Ofsted registration is required for childminders who provide care for children on their premises.
KidSitter does not employ babysitters. The babysitters work for themselves. Think of us like a AirBnB or an Uber. We select and match parents with trusted, experienced and thoroughly-vetted babysitters.
You can book as much as a month in advance to two hours before you need a sitter, if the booking is made between 9 AM and 6 PM, on all days of the week.

We understand that plans can change. So we offer full refunds for cancellations made from the time of the booking until 24 hours before the sitter is due to arrive. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 24 hours of the sitters arrival, or if you book less than 24 hours in advance.
If your plans change and you need to change or amend the booking, please call us and we will be happy to assist.
Yes, we will endeavour to book the same babysitter as the one booked for you the previous time. However, there is a strong possibility that the same person might not be available for the day and time you need. In any case, please be assured, that all our sitters come highly recommended and go through a rigorous interview process so that you and your child have a positive experience.
