I am a bubbly, fun, and creative person who brings warmth and energy into every settings. I take pride in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. My approach combines patience, responsibility, and enthusiasm, ensuring each child feels valued and supported. I am reliable, have excellent time-keeping skills, and communicate effectively with both children and parents to maintain strong, trusting relationships. I particularly enjoy engaging children in imaginative play and educational activities that support their development while making learning fun, and I always prioritise their safety and well-being at all times. I hold British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 and 2 qualifications, which allows me to communicate inclusively and support a wider range of children.

References for Shana

She works alongside me currently and I have known her for many years. In the past, she was supporting a deaf child initially. She used to support deaf children in a nursery, and after that nursery closed, I asked her to apply for a role here at Tower Hamlets in the learning advisory service. Shana is amazing - fantastic, I was really happy that she joined our service. She is always trustworthy and reliable. A parent would be incredibly lucky to have her with their children. She's brilliant with parents and children alike - she's intuitive and thoughtful.

Currently, she is a parent support worker, and I've known Shana for at least ten years as a work colleague. Shana is just extremely conscientious, enjoys working with children and is very professional. In all aspects, she is a real credit to the team (teachers of the deaf). I cannot fault Shana, and she is always willing to take on new things. Her relationship with all of the families and all the children is excellent. Shana comes into the nursery school twice a week, has strong BSL skills and very skilled with early communication and complex needs. She is really independent and capable.
