About me

I enjoy a career teaching children, specializing in Primary Education (between the ages of three and eleven). I am a kind, calm, caring professional with a good sense of humour who enjoys developing positive and nurturing relationships with all the children in my care.

Karen is a very reliable and trustworthy professional. She is extremely child-focused, compassionate and her understanding of children helps her be an outstanding practitioner. She has a robust and deep understanding of child development including mental development and pedagogy. She is strong at all subjects, but is particularly passionate about English including teaching children reading, writing, and literature.

Anyone taught by Karen is very lucky. She is an outstanding teacher and I don’t give that label away easily. She is very patient, and sympathetic towards children, but very firm at the same time. She plans her lessons extremely well, makes the subject very interesting for her students, and explains things really well. She ran an exemplary classroom and served as a model teacher for others to emulate. She was a classroom teacher, so she taught all subjects. Later, as an assistant head teacher, she was required to teach across all age groups from 3-year old nursery children to 11-year olds. I cannot recommend her highly enough. You are very lucky indeed.
