I am a single mother to a 26 year old son, so I understand the stresses and strains of being a parent. I am a Teaching assistant for 20 years so I understand and can communicate effectively with children. I love the job I do. I am loving, caring but firm and fair.
Karen was my teaching assistant at the school that I worked at. She was originally in Key Stage 2 (7-11 years old), but also then moved down to lower years, so she took children from 3 to 11. Anyone who has her look after their children is really lucky. I have a young son now and I'd be lucky for her to look after him. I've known Karen for eight years (since Sept 2012) and she is very bubbly, has a really good sense of humour and great rapport with the children. She is that element of fun but sets clear boundaries, which is so important for children. So she is structured. I'd highly recommend her.Carly B
Karen was a colleague that I worked with for in excess of 13 years. She is outgoing, has a can-do attitude, she will have a go at almost anything, and friendly. I am the deputy head of school, and she was a teaching assistant at the school, including a class that I was teaching. She is very trustworthy and on time - early if anything. She was often left in charge of the whole class, managed the dinner hall, had playground duties etc. She looked after children across the whole range, from 3 years old in nursery to 11 years old in year 6. In the last few years, she taught mainly Key Stage 1.Andrea M
