About me

I am a dedicated and caring childcare professional with over four years of experience working in nurseries, schools, and specialist settings. I am currently a Nursery Practitioner and a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, with strong expertise in supporting children’s early development, communication skills, and individual needs. A parent would hire me as a nanny because I provide safe, nurturing, and development-focused care, plan age-appropriate activities, communicate clearly with families, and offer extra support for children with speech, language, or special educational needs, ensuring every child feels valued and thrives. I have strong specialist skills that make me well suited for a nanny role, including extensive experience supporting children with speech, language, and communication delays, SEND, and autism. I am trained in creating and implementing Individualised Education Plans (IEPs), planning age-appropriate activities, and managing behaviour with a calm and nurturing approach. I also have solid knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures, safe manual handling techniques, and maintaining a secure environment. My certifications include Paediatric First Aid (OFSTED/EYFS compliant), Child Protection and Safeguarding (Levels 2 and 3), Manual Handling, Autism Awareness, Health and Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene, and the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, ensuring high-quality, safe, and development-focused care for children.

Senuri has been working at our nursery since 2022. She is one of our best nursery practitioners. She has a brilliant relationship with parents and children, and is very much adored by everyone. She plans very engaging, age-appropriate activities that engage the children. She has a kind heart and is very gentle with them. She is very reliable, punctual and dedicated. Her nursery team leader in the room also speaks very highly of Senuri. She is very, very good.

I am a lecturer at London Metropolitan, and have known Senuri since 2023. She studied Public Health, and I supervised her research where we design curriculum, provide pastoral support, conducting research and publish findings. Her education requires her to have a strong background in children's hygiene, health routines and safeguarding, all essential for providing childcare. She a great student - punctual, patient, calm and communicates clearly. She follows instructions carefully and shows genuine care for children. I do recommend her for looking after children. She has strong sense of responsibility.
