About me

I am a qualified and experienced teacher, who has worked with a range of children from EYFS to KS2 level. I have hosted after school clubs, which has entailed me teaching children to learn social skills, improve their communication and confidence, as well as other lessons such as keyboard club, fine motor club and dance club. I believe having a passion and positive energy along with childcare knowledge and the ability to learn more by developing your own relationship with the children and the parents are key. All children are different and are unique in their way and each bring something new to your child care routine. Since teaching, I have nannied and tutored on the side, and developed positive relationships via communication, assessments and focusing on the child's subjects that need focusing on as well as praising their strengths.

References for Lyra-Jane

Lyra-Jane was absolutely fantastic! She worked for us for over a year, as a nanny and tutor. She was teaching English and Maths to our five year old and two year old. She was very friendly, easy to get along with and always informative. She was punctual, I had no complaints. She also gave a run-down at the end of each session, which was very helpful to be honest. I would recommend her.

She is one of the best teachers that I've seen at the school. I have been working with her in a school environment for about a year. She is very kind, a good friend as well. She is very responsible, engages with the children, she's approachable and organises activities based on the children's needs. I have learned a lot from working with her.
